I would have given this Samsonite set five stars but for the problem mentioned in my title. My quibble leading to four stars is that the picture of the bag and suitcase together give the impression that the bag is close in size to the suitcase. It is not. Think toiletries bag. The photo is misleading and should be replaced so that the true size of the small bag relative to the suitcase is portrayed. Here's what would have merited five stars: I use this suitcase a lot and have rolled it over pavements of all kinds. (One thing - I wish the wheels were a bit larger since that would probably give the suitcase more grab on textured surfaces.) Nevertheless, the wheels run very smoothly over most surfaces making the suitcase easy to maneuver. It's actually a pleasure to use as I'm continually surprised by how easy it is to move fairly weighty luggage along the sidewalks.

I got this item on a lighting box deal so I got it for significantly less than the regular purchase price. I would definitely not pay full price for this but for the amount that I spent I would propbably get it again. It's very easy to pull, high quality, and has a classy appearance. It fit easily in the overhead bin. I like that the bag can attach over the handles of the suitcase. The only real flaw I have with it is that the top of the bag has a hard edge that borders the entire front and comes over the sides a little which takes away from the amount of useable space in the bag. At first when I received it I was very dissapointed because it looked much smaller than the carry on bag I was replacing it with and they were supposedly the same size. When I really compared them they weren't as far off as I thought but this one did have a little less space due to the edge that I mentioned.

Got this on the Gold Box Deal. Used it over Thanksgiving weekend. My husband was skeptical about my enthusiasm for an upgraded roller suitcase. Then he got stuck with it at the airport and was instantly impressed about how easy it was to maneuver through the crowds and roped-off areas. We're light packers and were able to fit both of our clothing in without needing to open the expander. The other bag was smaller than I expected (should have read the size description). However, I got more in than I expected. There are a lot of compartments and it worked out well for our toiletries - especially getting through security. We ended up having to gate-check the roller on the way home - and let me say that this bag was the sharpest one in baggage claim. Definitely happy with the purchase - especially $99.
